Tempo’s Carnival 2012 feature program airing Tuesday night

The Tempo network will premier its one-hour special on St. Maarten’s Carnival 2012 tomorrow night at 7:00pm. Entitled "Tempo Presents St. Maarten Carnival 2012", this is an initial two-week run with the show air 25 times and will featured scenes and interviews gathered during Carnival 2012.

A collaborative effort between Tempo and the St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) and the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau, the program is the first "fruit" that will bear from the three year-contract signed between the two parties prior to the start of Carnival 2012.

The intention is to re-air this program and 2013 content a few weeks before Carnival 2013 as well. Approximately five Million viewers in over 28 countries worldwide, including the United States (NY, NJ, Conn. Pa), South America and parts of Europe will get to see St. Maarten’s Carnival in all its splendor.

The one hour program features glimpses into all thing Carnival on St. Maarten. Footage from almost all Carnival events, interviews with booth holders, footage highlighting the uniqueness of Carnival Village, parades, road events and more.

"St. Maarten is where Tempo comes to charge up and Carnival is the ultimate charging session," said Frederick A. Morton, Jr., Founder, Chairman & CEO, Tempo Networks. It is a pleasure to partner with the St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation and the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau to present St. Maarten Carnival and to let the world know that St. Maarten Carnival Got Tempo!"

"Tempo is a first step in presenting our Carnival to the world," President of the SCDF Stuart Johnson said. "We have so much more in the pipeline planned. Tempo did a fine job covering St. Maarten’s largest event and we look forward to continuing and growing our partnership with the network in the benefit of Carnival and St. Maarten in general," Johnson added.

The SCDF, since June, had already announced the dates for Carnival 2013 as part of its "Save the Dates" campaign. Carnival 2013 is scheduled to run from April 19 to May 3. The schedule is expected to feature local shows per usual, road events, about four international concerts and more.
