USS UNDERWOOD Sailors Donate Time and Healthcare Supplies to Siloam

During their visit to Curacao, the men and women of the USS UNDERWOOD (FFG 36) provided volunteer support to the Siloam Village Orphanage in Soto. Armed with paintbrushes and gardening tools the sailors upgraded the garden and playground facilities. Also, they donated medical supplies such as diapers, baby powder and bandages to further benefit the children’s hospice.

Chief Electronics Technician (Select) (SW) Michael Rushton, assigned to the Oliver Hazard Perry-class guided-missile frigate USS UNDERWOOD, presented a plaque to Broeder Herman, the director of Siloam, during the community relations project.
