Mr. Camille Baly , an exemplary educator honoured the members and audience of the PMIA at the fourth Annual Lionel Bernard Scott memorial lecture by presenting the lecture entitled "Educational Development", on January 28, 2006.
His lecture emphasized the necessity to stimulate "Educational Development and Self Reliance , two elements intertwined with each other as a catalyst and result in the maturity of the human being.
His lecture is available in book format at the library and from PMIA Board members.
Mr. C. Baly will be dearly missed and the PMIA Board and Members take pride in the fact that we were able to capture some of his broad knowledge in his booklet entitle " Educational Development and Self Reliance in St. Martin.
The PMIA will like to remember Mr. C. Baly, an extraordinary educator and culture activist, who took pride in always looking out for the interest of others as he worked towards making a contribution to the educational and cultural development of his beloved island St. Maarten.
