The Ministry of Public Housing, Spatial Development, and Infrastructure (VROMI) is informing the general public that the Backstreet in the sections of Gevangenis Steeg to Long Wall Road will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday August 26, 2012 FROM 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Pedestrians are urged to take precaution.
The reason for the road closure is to allow NV GEBE to carry out maintenance works.
The works consist of the removal of their existing wooden electricity poles and accompanied overhead electrical cables.
All side streets/roads from Cannegieter road leading to Front street will remain open. It will be possible to move to and from Cannegieter road and Front Street.
