Dancehall Reggae performer Romain Virgo is looking forward to his first appearance on St. Maarten at the Soggy Dollar Bar, Simpson Bay, Saturday.
The club event, appropriately titled "Can’t sleep" after Romain Virgo’s hit song I Caan Sleep is sponsored by TelEm Group in collaboration with show promoters RiddimBox.
According to RiddimBox’s Randy Piper, the performer has heard a lot about St. Maarten and is keen to meet his fans on the island personally.
"Romain Virgo is a performer with some serious and relevant lyrics that appeal to the youth and music lovers generally. He is going to be a big hit on St. Maarten," said Randy.
He says there has also been a lot of buzz during the past days about local supporting acts that will also be performing at the Soggy Dollar Bar on the night, amongst them, St. Maarten Reggae performer Acha.
TelEm Group recently presented Riddim Box Public Relations Officer, Regine Warner, with a sponsorship check towards the event in which TelEm Group products and services will be widely promoted.
The check was presented by TelEm Group’s new Sales & Marketing Manager, Emile van der Weerd (Pictured above with Riddim Box PRO Regine Warner).
Other sponsors include Captain Morgan Rum, Red Stripe and Where the Flex.com.
"The highlight of our "Can’t Sleep" promotion is the "Wear Red and Win" feature that will run throughout the night," says TelEm Group Marketing Officer, Cheryl Rismay.
She said music fans can look forward to a great night out complete with VIP service and super promotions including a FREE insomniac beverage to kick off the party atmosphere.
Ms. Rismay said there is an entrance fee of $20 for the show. Tickets are available at Van Dorp.
