On Monday August 13, 2012, a brief ceremony was held at the Ministry of Justice’s Cabinet, welcoming 6 more additions to the Ministry of Justice’s Division of Armed Forces more specifically, the Divisions of the Royal Military Police (KMAR) and the Criminal Investigation Team (RST).
The Honorable Roland Duncan Minister of Justice and the local Chief of Police congratulated all the officers and welcomed them to the team. The Minister proceeded to encourage them to serve Sint Maarten well. The Police Chief Commissioner Mr. Peter De Witte stated that he was pleased to have them join the Force as at this present time there is much work to be done. Also in attendance were; other colleagues of the Royal Military Police and the Criminal Investigation Team.
Sworn in were 3 Royal Military Police Officers (KMAR) namely: Mr. Peter Heemstra, Mr. Eric Wagenmakers and Ms. Jacdine Ditewig and 3 Detectives for the Criminal Investigation Team (RST) namely: Mr. Jack van Loon, Mr. Henk van Wijk and Ms. Patricia Molendijk.
