Central Committee of Parliament to meet on Friday; First meeting since recess

The Central Committee of Parliament will meet in public session on August 17, the first meeting since the July recess to discuss a four point agenda.

 

The meeting will take place on Friday morning at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House of Parliament at Wilhelmina Straat #2.1 in Philipsburg.

The first agenda point is the submission of the 2011 Annual Report of the High Council of State Ombudsman.

The second agenda point is the appointment of the Chair person, members, and replacement members of the High Council of State General Audit Chamber.

The third agenda point is approval of a working visit to the Netherland in connection with the Dutch Second Chamber of Parliament meeting on September 18 in the Ridderzaal and reception of out-going Second Chamber of Parliament President Hon. G.A. Verbeet.

The fourth agenda point also seeks approval from Members of Parliament (MP) with respect to a working visit to Panama in with respect to the 9th Plenary Meeting of ParlAmericas from August 30 to September 1.

Members of ParlAmericas are committed to promoting parliamentary participation in the Inter-American system. They are also engaged in developing inter-parliamentary dialogue on relevant hemispheric issues.
