Attends Hennessey Artistry Event on Saturday
The Prime Minister of St. Maarten the Honorable Sarah Wescot Williams welcomed R&B and Soul legend Roberta Flack at the Soualiga Lounge of the Princess Juliana Airport on Friday.
Ms. Flack, who was on island for the Hennessey Artistry event met briefly with the Prime Minister and they jointly conducted an interview. In her statements during the reception the Prime Minister stated that the presence of Ms. Flack on St. Maarten is another feather in the cap of St. Maarten; "It is very special for the island that we are able to bring this caliber of entertainer here to perform for the people of our country. I look forward to an excellent show to hear the legend which Ms. Flack is performing," commented the Prime Minister.
On Saturday Evening the Prime Minister joined hundreds of people in the Festival Village to hear both Reggae Artist Maxi Priest and Ms. Flack Perform. The Prime Minister congratulated the organizers of the show on a job well done.
