Mr. Edward Rohan Is New Interim Director at the Point Blanche Prison

Mr. Edward A. Rohan has been appointed as the new Interim director of the Point Blanche Prison as of August 1st, 2012. Mr. Rohan is a Sint Maartener with vast experience in the Correctional Field and has worked at the correctional facility UNDP in Scheveningen in the Netherlands for more than 12 years. He is trained in Security Management., and in the field of Prison Law and Management.
 

Vidjai Jusia- New Head of Judicial Affairs
Mr. Jusia worked from 1993 as a staff lawyer at the Division of the State Council (hereinafter ABRvS). During the period August 1998 – August 2001 he was a part of the so-called Technical Assistance stationed in the Netherlands Antilles, where he have played a crucial role in establishing the Department of General and Legal Affairs of the Island Territory of St. Eustatius. Furthermore, he contributed to Curacao’s decentralization of the execution of the Netherlands Antilles tax law. From August 2001-2003, he again worked as a staff lawyer at the ABRvS.
Since January 2003, he worked as a coordinating Specialist Advisor employed by the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate. Hereafter he in that capacity he advised the last few years the management team and employees on all kinds of (inter) national legal, political-administrative and policy matters. In addition, he maintained the foreign relations and represented the ILT in several (inter) national and (inter) departmental project and workgroups. He was also assigned to the ILT at the position of deputy head of knowledge experts.
