TelEm landline and internet bills for March were delayed because of the company’s transfer from an old billing system to a brand new billing system. In the process several complicated steps had to be taken to produce the current bills.

As of Monday this week, customers can visit any TelEm Group location or they can contact a customer service representative for their outstanding balance(s) in order to make a payment. The customer service representative can also give information about new disconnection dates to accommodate those making late payments.

Recently the company announced a backlog in the processing of TelEm bills and advised customers to set funds aside to make payments when the bills have been processed.

"One of the features of the new billing system is possibility for customers to check their own accounts and print out their own statements," said TelEm Group Corporate Communication Officer, Joe Dominique.

He said TelEm Group customers will already have noticed a change in the format and appearance of their new bills which also include account numbers for standing order and online payments.

"We are apologizing to all our customers for their patience and understanding, especially those who have made numerous enquiries about their undelivered bill(s) in recent weeks," said Mr. Dominique.
