On Tuesday, June 19th at 2 PM the construction board of the new correctional institution will be revealed at Plantage Aruba. This official act will be executed by the island governor of Bonaire, mrs. dr. Lydia Emerencia.
The placing of this construction board marks a new phase in the development of the building process. After passing the deed of leasehold of the ground, intensive attention can be paid to the preliminary design of the building. The preliminary design is expected to be ready in November, than it can also be presented.
The new correctional institution will have a capacity op 94 cells. Those have space for men, women and juveniles. According to the planning the new building will be ready be ready medio 2015.
