In continuation of the 2012 St. Martin Pony League Youth Baseball competition a three way struggle for second place is now on between the Sandy Ground Mariners the Cul de Sac Padres and the Dutch Quarter Dodgers.
All three teams have played and won their games. They all have good pitchers and have put them to use. Sandy Ground won French Quarter Tigers 9-6. In this game it was Tommy Fleming who was the mvp player of the game who batted in the tying and the winning run for the Mariners. Pitcher Joan Gomez had no trouble dominating the bats of the Tigers. In their game of the day the Padres also won the Tigers with a score of 12-9 On Sunday it was the clash for the second place once again when the Dutch Quarter Dodgers met with the Sandy Ground Mariners. The Mariners won in extra inning with the score of 10-9. The third round of the competition will now be commencing this Saturday. St. James Yankees is still in first place.
