St. Maarten Cable TV, which is now an all-digital system, is pleased to announce that five new exciting channels have been recently added to the Basic Package. Effective June 5th, 2012, the following channels were added to the line-up: Lifetime Real Women, Lifetime Movie Network, I-SAT, Boomerang and TruTV.
Lifetime Real Women is a network that showcases issues that are important to today’s woman. The programming, from scripted series to specials, inspires and highlights true-to life experiences. Lifetime Real Women airs on channel 166.
Lifetime Movie Network features dramatic and intense movies based on actual events from the headlines and the world’s best-selling novels. Lifetime Movie Network brings the matinee to your home on channel 269.
Available on channel 259, I-SAT airs movies, documentaries, syndicated series and specials. Popular programming includes Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Arrested Development and The Office.
Boomerang is a 24-hour cable channel offering reality series, videos and specials geared to young adults. Current popular shows on Boomerang include America’s Best Dance Crew, Hellcats and the Gilmore Girls. Boomerang is airing on channel 249.
TruTV is a network that primarily features investigation-based programming. One of the most requested channels in St. Maarten; TruTV will cover real people with extraordinary experiences through shows like World’s Toughest Cops, Hollywood Justice and Murder By The Book. TruTV is available on channel 168.
Beulah Jonis, Managing Director of St. Maarten Cable TV stated, "My staff and I are thrilled that we were able to complete the digital transition during the 90 day time frame we aspired to when we began. This transition gives us the ability to offer better quality service to our Cable TV customers. In addition, with greater bandwidth we have already been able to launch eight new channels on our system since February 1, 2012. "
