An initial start was also made with the evaluation of the organization and formation reports of the various RCN-units. Also, on the agenda were the formalization of the dress code for the Dutch Caribbean police and the compensation regulation for temporary employment elsewhere within the Dutch Caribbean.

Also in light of the petition which was presented on Tuesday June 5th by workers of the Dutch Caribbean Fire Brigade to the chairman of the sector meeting, in the sector meeting the necessity and approach for the further harmonization of labour conditions within RCN and between RCN and other government workers was discussed.

With regard to the implemented back-pay of the recent year it is established that RCN has carefully settled all individual cases. Concerning the in 2011 incorrect payment of vacation money, the unions have jointly argued for cancellation of a reimbursement obligation, but it is also established that the employer, based on the existing law, has the right to decide to reclaim payment.

The sector meeting takes place in principle four times per year, alternately on the three islands of the Dutch Caribbean. The next meeting is planned in September and will be held on Saba.
