Permanent Committee of Public Housing, Spatial Development, Environment, and Infrastructure to Meet

The Permanent Committee of Parliament on Public Housing, Spatial Development, Environment, and Infrastructure, will meet on April 26 in a public session.

A group of individuals will provide parliamentarians information about Geographical Information System (GIS) – The Currency of Modern Government.

The request for the meeting came from Donald Webster, a GIS specialist. Webster and his team will provide information on how GIS is designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyse, manage, spatial referenced data, and how various government institutions throughout the world have relied on using this technology to the benefit of their national development.

The meeting will take place on Thursday morning at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House of Parliament on Wilhelmina Straat #2.1 in Philipsburg.

The committee is headed by Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Romain Laville, Chairman, MP Hon. Roy Marlin, Vice Chair, MP Hon. Patrick Illidge, and MP Hon. William Marlin.
