Reggae artistes Christopher Martin and Popcaan touch down at the Princess Juliana International Airport tomorrow afternoon for the explosive 1 Red Nation concert at the Festival Village Thursday night.
Also arriving on Wednesday for the TelCell-sponsored event is Trinidad and Tobago’s 2011 Soca Monarch KES the band.
According to TelEm Group Manager, Marketing & Sales Mrs. Carmen Lake-Reyes, the three performers will be going a whirlwind promotional tour of the island’s radio stations, newspapers and other popular locations to hype up the opening international night for the 2012 carnival celebrations.
"The Promoter of the show, RidimBox Entertainment, has been in constant touch with the artistes and all of them a very excited about performing on the St. Maarten stage," said Mrs. Lake-Reyes.
She said if all goes well there may be a pre-concert appearance of the three artists together at the TelEm Group building on Wednesday evening in a live radio show.
Details of radio event was still being finalized with managers representing the artists late last night.
