This year, just like in recent years, the Public Prosecutor and the Police Department will maintain and enforce their 0-tolerance policy during the 2012 Carnival Season. Any person or persons who are arrested during any of the carnival activities as a suspect for public violence, any form of ill-treatment, threatening, weapons possession, assault and destruction, will be detained. Their detention will be extended until the Carnival season has passed. Before been released they will receive a summons informing the when they have to appear in Court to stand trial for the crime they have committed. The general public is advised to take very serious notice of this information.
