The Philipsburg Jubilee Library , with Writers Unlimited and Nederlands Letterenfonds [Dutch Foundation for Literature], presents the International Literary Festival "Crusa Lama" [Crossing the Seas] to be held on April 15, 2012, at 4pm at Philipsburg Cultural and Community Center on Backstreet
Under the theme "The Power of Memory," the literary festival will bring together writers and poets from various countries— Iraq, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Belgium,—in a special program where they will recite poetry and read from their work. The program includes performances by St. Maarten poets Lysanne Charles, Marianne Tefft, Stephen "Stretch" Rodney and Giovanni Olivacce.
