Minister of Plenipotentiary Hon. Mathias S. Voges said on Wednesday that he received a courtesy call from Counselor Laura Calligaro of the Embassy of Italy in The Hague.
Counselor Calligaro visited Sint Maarten House on behalf of the Ambassador of Italy. The Counselor expressed great interest of her country for tourism, economic investment and culture for Sint Maarten.
Calligaro also informed Minister Voges about the upcoming State visit of Italian President Giorgio Napolitano to the Netherlands in 2012.
