Subscribers have, therefore, been scheduled by area to swap their analog cable boxes for a digital box. Customers are reminded to bring their remote controls, coupon book and a valid ID. Subscribers who are not able to remove their cable box from the existing location should call the customer service department at 542-4361 for further assistance.

To better accommodate customers in the Cole Bay and Cay Bay areas, the new Mail Box location is now open at the Palapa Center, across from RBTT Bank. It should be noted that this location will only process bank card transactions (credit or debit cards) or check payments. Hours of operation at Mail Box are Monday to Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Subscribers in area #7 are encouraged to visit the office from now until April 4, 2012 to swap their cable box. Area #7 includes the following neighborhoods.

· Illidge Road

· Bush Road

· Cul De Sac

· Zaegers Gut

· Betty’s Estate

· Saunders

· Mary’s Fancy

Subscribers in area #8 are encouraged to come in to the offices from now until April 5, 2012. The areas included are:

· Cole Bay

· Cay Bay

Customers in areas 1 through 6 who have not exchanged their boxes are encouraged to do so at this time to avoid the rush at the end of April when the analog signal is discontinued. Customers that are uncertain of whether their area is ready can get more information from the St. Maarten Cable TV bulletin aired on channels 15 and 20 (analog).

In addition to the improved quality of service that digital signal provides, ST. Maarten Cable TV has launched 8 new digital channels which customers with digital converters will receive in their current packages. The 8 new channels are the Biography Channel (164), The Africa Channel (282), Sony Entertainment TV (286), Smile of a Child (313), TLC (226), LIV (228), Tooncast (248) and TBS (276). It should also be noted that the current cricket tour, namely WI vs. Australia, is only being aired on digital cable channel 114.
