U.S. Forward Operating Location (USFOL) Personnel Clean Up Curacao’s National Parks

On 5 March and 12 March 2012, a total of 21 personnel of the 429th Expeditionary Operations Squadron at the U.S. Forward Operation Location (USFOL) donated their time to an incredible effort to help clean the peak of Mt Christoffel and the rocky shoals of Shete Boka National Parks. The effort to help protect the island’s unique natural resources benefits tourists and the local community. A USFOL volunteer observed from the top of Mt Christoffel, "I never knew Curacao had such beauty and it is a rewarding experience to make sure the top of the mountain is as clean as the bottom." The U.S. FOL personnel have been long-time advocates for the local community and natural beauty and this was yet another outstanding effort to promote a continued healthy environment and well-being for the citizens and habitat of Curaçao.
