On March 15th the RCN launched its own intranet. With a special video clip the launching of the intranet was made known by workers. RCN wants to use this modern communication tool to bring its workers closer together and to inform about all sorts of matters within the organization.
Through the intranet workers on Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba can be informed in a fast and efficient manner about for example the latest news within the organization and news from the media. Also, there are forms, manuals, procedures and laws on the intranet. There is an archive of photos of important events to be found. Further, advertisements can be posted on a bulletin board.
To introduce the intranet to workers the department of communication has organized a prize contest. On the intranet there are 12 words hidden which together form a sentence that has to do with communication. By doing so workers will learn the way on the intranet in a fun way. RCN workers can win prizes by submitting the correct solutions.
