Member of Parliament George Pantophlet says that on February 22, he submitted some questions to the following Ministers: Deputy Minister Theo Heyliger, Minister Hiro Shigemoto and Minister Franklyn Meyers. To date no response has been received.
The questions were submitted in writing and the Member of Parliament is looking forward to receive the response in writing prior to the Public meeting on the draft Budget of 2012. He is reminding the respective Ministers that they have a responsibility to respond to Parliament and by extension the people of St. Maarten. It is not without reason that the Ministers were given the amount of personnel to assist them in their duties, contrary to Parliament the people’s representative who are the legislators and supervisors.
