The school’s creative “Get Fit” Flash Mob dance routine was judged to be the winner after students and staff received the most “Likes” from a Youtube posting of their routine.
Milton Peters College (MPC) came runner-up and took away a prize of $1,000, while St. Dominic came in third place for their respective Flash Mob entries.

The Flash Mob competition was organized by Tephany Baptist as a school project to showcase local talent and also to motive teamwork amongst High School students.
Before announcing the winners, Tephany thanked TelCell for sponsoring the main prize and also for staging the night’s event during which a number of the island’s other talented youth performed.
“I would also like to thank my dad for sponsoring the second prize and assisting me to show what great talent we have on St. Maarten,” said Tephany.
She said the response from the schools to get involved in the Flash Mob project was “unbelievable” and she hopes the team spirit at the center of the project will continue in all the schools.
TelEm Group Manager, Marketing & Sales, Mrs. Carmen Lake-Reyes congratulated the winners and all High Schools that took part in the contest and encouraged the winners to make best use of their winning funds.
“When the winner was announced the youngsters took to the stage and put on their own winning dance show. It was a great night for everyone, especially Tephany who saw a good result to her hard work,” said Carmen.
The Manager, Marketing & Sales also thanked the youth for getting into the promotional spirit of the night by showing off TelCell’s new color red, and helping to promote the company’s 3G mobile voice and data service.
