The Scuba Shop generously donated a SeaLife Underwater Camera to the Nature Foundation to assist and document Nature Foundation activities regarding the Man of War Shoal Marine Park and other areas in the waters surrounding St. Maarten.
"Many thanks to Kim and her staff at the Scuba Shop for donating the camera; it comes at the right time since our old camera has just about had it and we are increasing our monitoring activities which includes taking underwater pictures and film within the Marine Park and surrounding areas. We have also been trying to use a new type of coral reef research in which we monitor the health of our coral reefs over time using a computer program and digital pictures, and now with this generous donation of an underwater camera we can launch this new project and better manage our Marine Resources," commented Tadzio Bervoets, Manager at the St. Maarten Nature Foundation.
