St. Maarten Harbour Group of Companies has acquired an "as new" Bromma container spreader for use in the cargo section of Dr. A.C. Wathey Cruise and Cargo Facilities.
This new acquisition is part of the harbour group’s continued effort to better its position as a major port for transhipment in the North Eastern Caribbean by improving efficiency.
The 2010 spreader was purchased from the Port of Wilmington, Delaware. The spreader, nicknamed "Dave" is already at work on Captain David Quay.
