Dr. Brigitte I. van der Burg in her capacity as Chairlady of the Permanent Committee Kingdom Relations, who recently visited Sint Maarten with a delegation of Dutch Parliamentarians in order to attend the Inter Parliamentary Meeting, visited the Cabinet of Minister Plenipotentiary of Sint Maarten in the Hague on Wednesday.
Dr. van der Burg was welcomed by Minister Plenipotentiary the Hon. Mathias Voges and Policy Advisor to his Cabinet Perry Geerlings.
During this meeting Dr. van der Burg briefed the Cabinet of experiences on her (first) trip to the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom and more in particular her experience during the Inter Parliamentary Meetings as held on Sint Maarten.
The Cabinet made use of this opportunity to discuss possibilities for more profiling in The Hague political circles of in the quest of building country Sint Maarten and all aspects thereof.
Some very interesting ideas were floated whilst suggestions were made and discussed, interesting enough for further exploration, according to Minister Voges.
Parties experienced this meeting as very informative and constructive. It was agreed that a follow up meeting will be scheduled and that Minister Plenipotentiary will again pay a visit to the office of Dr. van den Burg.
