On Jnauary 4th the police department held a swearing-in ceremony at the office of the Justice Ministry.
A total of 13 cadets from the BPO (Basis Politie Opleiding ) who have finalized another part of the module of their police training have taken the oath in order for them to have the authority to arrest and to be able to write out citations .
We also had four collegues from the Netherlands sworn- in as part of reinforcement to our police department. This is in regard with the agreement we have with the Netherlands that twenty officers will be reinforcing our department.
At the present time there are a total of nine officers coming from the Netherlands.
The honorable Minister of Justice Mr Duncan gave the oath.
