In the scope of Large Scale Investigation Team TGO-Vesuvius – in which yesterday 10 house searches have been conducted on Sint Maarten – 11 (fire) arms, 7 kilos of presumably cocaine and an amount of money of 24.000 dollars have been confiscated.
Three of the eight suspects arrested for murder and attempted murder have directly been placed into preliminary detention for eight days by the Judge of Instruction. Tomorrow the other five suspects will be brought before the Judge of Instruction.
Last week, on Tuesday the 8th of November, the TGO –investigation Vesuvius already led to the arrest of the suspect K.D. ,resident of the Dutch side. The arrest was performed by the SWAT-team close to the French border. During this arrest a firearm has also been confiscated.
The TGO Vesuvius investigation team makes an appeal to witnesses who can give information about the murders which have taken place on Sint Maarten since April this year.
