The Philipsburg Jubilee Library will be hosting an adult information session Thursday July 28th titled Know Your Rights.
Know Your Rights is the first of a five part series of sessions where the library will introduce a panel of educated guests speaking on various topics in our community. The first topic of focus will be Labor issues. We have recently seen many issues arising in the community concerning labor laws and the rights of workers. The library found it highly important to bring in knowledgeable persons to speak on these issues and inform workers about their rights and some of the laws that are in place to help them. Speaking will be a lawyer who specializes in work and resident permits, representatives of the workers union and the labor office. We urge you the public to come out to the Philipsburg Jubilee Library at 6: 30pm until 8pm and get informed. Remember knowledge is power.
