The payment of the wage loss (loonderving) for the period of January up till May 2011 is being paid out this month by Social Affairs and Employent (SZW). Payment of wage loss is a compensation which is being paid to the employers by the government, so they are able to continue the payment of the wage of ill employees.
As could already be read in the press there is a backlog in the payment of these compensations to the employers. This however is not the task of the social insurance office, but from the unit of Social Affairs and Employment of RCN.
Before 10/10/10 there were big backlogs in the payments (of more years). In the meanwhile the SZW has eliminated the majority of all backlog up till 2010 and will be paying out this month still, the wage loss for the period of January up till May 2011.
