The citizens of St. Maarten are invited to attend the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial. This year marks the 28th anniversary of the world’s largest annual community-based AIDS event. The HIV/AIDS Program Management Team in cooperation with the St. Maarten AIDS Foundation has coordinated the event for the last ten years.

The theme of this year’s International AIDS Candlelight Memorial is "Touching Lives" With this theme, the International Candlelight Memorial wishes people to remember how HIV has touched the lives of so many of us; and how international solidarity has a positive impact on the lives of people living with HIV and affected by HIV worldwide.
