On Monday April 18th between 08.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. police an detectives were busy investigating two separate armed robberies which took place in the Cole Bay area. All patrols on the streets were notified by the Central Police Dispatch of what had taken place.
Shortly after a police patrols in the Cole bay area reported to have spotted 2 possible suspects of a robbery which had taken place in a Chinese restaurant earlier in the evening and that the suspects were riding on scooters. The suspects were also trying to flee from the patrol. While the detectives were busy with their investigation at SOL gas station, they saw the suspects driving onto the premises. One suspect managed to escape and the other was stopped and arrested by police. During a search of this suspect a revolver BURGO caliber .22 including bullets were found. This weapon and ammunition were confiscated for further investigation. The suspect with initials L.F.L. B. from the French side also remains in custody for questioning.
