The following are the results from SIMVA’s 2nd Annual Interscholastic Volleyball Tournament results during Thursday afternoon’s game at the Melford Hazel Sports Facility:

Well folks it’s officially over. The Champs have been crowned in the Simva 2nd Annual Interscholastic tournament. After a very hard fought battle, this years champions are the PSVE boys. Ater winning game 1 on Wednesday the 23rd March 2011. The stage was set for game 2. Academy boys started strong by winning the 1st set 25-23, but PSVE would not be denied and rebounded to win the 2nd set 26-24. The 3rd set Academy boys stepped up their game and destroyed PSVE by the score 25-13. After losing the 3rd set PSVE gathered themselves and came back to win the 4th set 26-24. It went down to the deciding set to see if another game would have to be played to determine the championship. However the 5th set saw PSVE jump out to an early lead and never looked back. They took the set 15-7 and doing so won the championship by winning game 1 and game 2. After the game PSVE was awarded with gold medals and a trophy, and Academy was awarded silver medals. In the female division Academy girls were awarded the gold medals and a trophy. They have won the tournament 2 years running. MPC girls were awarded silver medals. Simva then donated 5 volleyballs to all the schools present. The remaining secondary schools will receive their donation of balls at a later date.
