Participants of 8 Day Care Centers wowed a large gathering of parents and friends on Saturday March 12th 2011 at the Celebration Palace in a talent and arts and craft show.
The children danced, sang, recited rhymes, acted and modeled the afternoon away with the encouragement of their supporters.
There was also a display of the arts and craft prepared by the children of the participating Day Care Center namely: Jubilee Joy Playschool, Alexander’s Early Stimulation,
Bright Start Early Stimulation, Children’s World Playschool,
Shorac Kids Pre-school, Kids Unite Pre-school,
Ebenezer Learning Center, Small Beginnings Christian Pre- School.
Teachers and parents put in a lot of work preparing the little ones ages for the activity and it was certainly an enjoyable afternoon. The children enjoyed themselves also with the appearance of Dora and Diego.
The activity was organized in collaboration with the Rights of the Child Committee consisting of the Department Sports and Youth, FAJ, the St. Maarten Youth Council, UNESCO and SIFMA. This year the committee selected to work with the pre-schoolers to give them the opportunity to express themselves through the arts.
