An unusual event is happening this Saturday Marc 12th in the harbor of Phillipsburg. The West Indian Guard Ship of the Royal Navy in the Caribbean, HNLMS Rotterdam, is entering the harbor. It’s the first ceremonial arrival of this amphibious transport ship in Sint Maarten.
From 08:45 am to 09:15 am the ship is entering the harbor of Phillipsburg and is passing Fort Amsterdam. This goes together with the traditional salute firing to the Flag of The Kingdom of the Netherlands and to the Governor of Sint Maarten.
