St John’s, Antigua – Barbados captain Ryan Hinds has been fined 65% of his match fee following the Barbados v Guyana WICB Regional 4 Day match at the Guyana National Stadium.
Hinds was reported by umpires Norman Malcolm, Nigel Duguid and Shannon Crawford for the Level 1 (1.2) charge of showing dissent by word or action at an umpire’s decision.
The charge was upgraded to Level 2 since it was Hind’s second Level 1 offence in 12 months. The first offence was during the WICB Regional 50 Over Tournament in October last.
Hinds pleaded guilty to the charge and accepted the proposed sanction of 65% of his match fee and a hearing was avoided.
All Level 2 charges carry a range of between 50% to 100% of a player’s match fee and/or a ban for one four day match or 2 One Day matches.
