The St. Maarten Department of Statistics (STAT) will be holding a press conference Thursday February 17, 2011 to launch the 2011 St. Maarten Census publicity campaign alongside IMC.
The press conference is set to take place at the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort Palm Room at 10:00AM. Attending the press conference will be Minister Franklin Meyers, representatives of the Department of Statistics as well as IMC.
The Department of Statistics and IMC will publicly provide information about the upcoming St. Maarten Census, scheduled for April 9-17, and encourage all residents of Dutch St. Maarten to participate in this essential Census.
The 2011 Census will serve to garner critical information that will help to guide policy making over the next 10 years as well as the further development of various public services.
The publicity campaign has been customized to target everyone residing on the island based on the dominating cultures to create an "us" feeling to the project, that will be thoroughly exercised during the months leading up to the census in April 2011.
STAT partnered with Innovative Marketing Creations a few months ago in efforts to provide their expertise in marketing to creatively get the attention of the public and instill the need to participate for successful results for census 2011. IMC has been contracted to provide insight, plan, and execute the marketing aspects of the Census project.
