Preparations for Childfest 2011 are in full swing. Auditions for Childfest Stars singing competition and the Childfest in Motion dance competition will be held at Princess Port de Plaisance Hotel this weekend.
Childfest Stars audition will be held at the front desk at Port de Plaisance this Saturday, February, 5 and next Saturday, February 12 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. There will be three categories: children’s category for kids ages 6 – 9 kids; the pre-teen category for youths ages 10 – 13 and the teen category for young adults ages 14- 17. Only amateur singers will be admitted to the auditions and not professional singers. Some nice prizes will be secured for the winners of the competition.
The Childfest in Motion auditions will be held on Sunday, February 6 at PDP front desk from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. Coordinator is Imbali Director Choreographer Clara Reyes. The audition is open to children of all ages. Dancers can be solo, but a maximum of six persons can be in a groups.
Eliminations for both Childfest Stars and Childfest in Motion will be held at Port de Plaisance on Saturday, February 27 and the finals will be held at the Childfest Family Fun Day on Sunday, March 20.
Childfest a two part fundraising event for kids comprise a Gala Dinner and a Family Fun Day. This year’s gala dinner has been set for Saturday, March 19 at PDP.
