The launching of the book "St.Martin in Sight", written by Gerda Heil and Riet Sint, took place on November 23rd 2010 at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library. Present at the book launching were Prime Minister Mrs.Sarah-Wescott-Williams, Minister Mrs.Maria Buncamper-Molanus and Minister of Plenipotentiary in Holland Mr.Mathias Voges, who all recieved a copy of the new book.
"St.Martin in Sight" gives a broad overview of many aspects of our island.
St.Martin in Sight explores in understandable language and colorful pictures the many different aspects of life on St.Martin; its history, culture and natural surroundings as well as its social and economic structures. The book has been written with the interests of young readers in mind, but will certainly appeal to older readers as well.

A large crowd was in attendance of the book launching at the Library.
After the book launching ceremony, Prime Minister received both the authors signature in her copy of the book.
Minister Mrs.Maria Buncamper-Molanus also got her book signed by both authors.
