Three Post employees arrested

WILLEMSTAD — Three employees of the New Post NV were arrested Wednesday. They are suspected of involvement with sending drugs in postal packages to the Netherlands.

The ‘Softbroer’ investigation by the Narcotics department is in progress since April 29th last.
The suspected employees intercepted and separated the cocaine packages from the other packages that were to pass Customs for inspection. After this inspection, the drug packages were put back on the pile destined for the Netherlands.
The 42-year old E.R.T.R. was arrested at the airport last Sunday, where he had delivered the drug packages to the postal office. Local press reports that this suspect runs a truck’I pan and a snèk in Saliña. Three employees of Post NV – H.F.L.C. (31), G.R. (38) and F.C.A.P. (50) – were arrested Wednesday morning. Shortly afterwards, a house on Diamantweg was raided, where envelopes with logo’s of well-known companies were confiscated. These envelopes were used to post the drugs. Plastic bags that were used to put the drugs in first, a scale and a bullet were also confiscated. The police do not preclude more arrests with both the criminal organization and the Post.
