On Friday August 6th a approximately 02.00 p.m. police patrols, police traffic department, Fire department and Ambulance Department were sent to the crossing of Oyster Pond road and Bishop Hill road for a serious traffic accident involving three vehicles and where at least one person was injured.
On the scene the driver of a white pick-up with license plate V-1426 was complaining of pain in his chest, neck and back. With the assistance of the Fire Department using the metal cutting machine called " the jaws of life" made it safer for the victim to be removed from the wreckage by paramedics. The victim was then transported to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for medical treatment. The exact cause of this accident is still been investigated by the Police traffic Department.
