In the ongoing recruitment drive by the Island Government, for the New Country St. Maarten, some 14 new civil servants were sworn in Wednesday morning by Act. Lt. Gov. Mr. Reynold Groeneveldt, after the significance of the oath was explained and then read to them by the Island Secretary-Mrs. Joane Dovale-Meit.
The new civil servants were welcomed and congratulated by the Com. for labor affairs, Mr. Xavier Blackman, for accepting the huge challenges that lie ahead.
