Commissioner Mr. Frans Richardson and his Executive Assistant Mr. Romeo Pantophlet along with Sector Director Mr. Miguel De Weever and Mr. Halley welcomed the new Meteorologist-Mr. Joel Pierre during his first day on the job at the Meteorological Bureau, in the presence of Chief Observer-Mr. R. Eugenio and Mr. E. Martina.
Mr. Joel Pierre has been recruited by the efforts of the Island Government, who are appealing to St. Maarteners to return home after their studies, and to take part in building the New Country St. Maarten.
Mr. Joel Pierre has completed his training at the Florida State University.
