A press conference was held on Saturday June 12th 2010 with Minister Omayra Leeflang and Commissioner Hyacinth Richards on the Information on Laws on Public Health for Country St. Maarten.
During the press conference Ms.Leeflang noted that the Federal Government is still in charge of the present Public Health Laws, but come October 10th 2010 it will change, once the Parliament accepts them.
The Mininister also brought along the newly published and updated handbook on Health regulations, that she and the Commissioner signed.

Two of the Minister envoys arrived a day earlier, where they meet with the Commissioner and updated him on current matters and presented him with copies of documents regarding Health Care Regulations for the New Country St. Maarten and the updated Public Health Care Handbook.
