The Safe Haven Foundation held a press conference on Tuesday June 1st 2010, to inform the media and general public as well of it’s current financial situation.
They made known that they have been asking the public and businesses to assist them via radio and t.v.
Presently they owe Fls 40,000 in taxes. Their main source of income is the subside of the Island Government of St.Maarten. Plus the Government also pays rent for the Safe Haven.
The Safe Haven Foundation has no other choice but to suspend it’s services until their bills and taxes have been paid off for, if no one or business offers them help to stay open.
