According to Angelo Meyer of trade union PWFC, six employees of Tiger Equipment had already reported ill with lung complaints during the past six months.

Some 25 employees of Tiger Equipment and 8 of MAC had held a walkout Wednesday morning, protesting against the inconvenience of the enormous dust clouds produced by the concrete factory of Heavy Mix.
According to Meyer, the protest action had nearly gotten out of hand when personnel were pelted from the complex of Heavy Mix. This had led PWFC to call in the police who had succeeded in smoothing the ruffled feathers. The action ended after consultation between the trade union and the management of Heavy Mix. "The permit of Heavy Mix includes the stipulation that they must provide for a special provision to control the dust inconvenience. They are working on this and expect to finalize this at the end of April."
