WILLEMSTAD — The National Platform Medical Laboratories recently presented an advice to Minister Omayra Leeflang (Public Health, PAR) containing quality criteria for medical laboratories.

Institutes complying with the aforementioned and other conditions in conformity with the Land regulation Care-institutes qualify for a permit for a medical laboratory.
The platform, which Leeflang had had established in 2007, represents all medical laboratories of the five islands of the Netherlands Antilles.
Platform-chairman Nasser Ajubi had presented the report to the Minister of Public Health. Representatives of the laboratories of the St. Elisabeth Hospital, the Taams Clinic, the Advent Hospital, Medical Center Refinería Isla, the Analytic Diagnostic Center, St. Maarten Laboratory Services, Medical Laboratory Services, Laboratorios de Médicos and the Institute Red Cross Blood Bank had attended the presentation. Director Whiteman of the Public Health Directorate and policy co-worker Sharline Eisden of the Minister of Public Health had also attended this presentation.
