Saturday November 28 the Library will close of Children’s Book week 2009 with a exciting and nourishing closing event. The event will be held between 10 am and 2 pm at the libraries premises. Saturdays program is packed with entertaining and educational activities.
Dance group Grand’s or will be performing together with Mrs. Future Face St Maarten Tiffiny Annicette.
Sister Mary Laurence School and Regina primary school will present foods from the Dominican Republic, Holland as well St Maarten.
Rastafaris Freedom fighter Ital Shack and Soulja will be offering wholesome snacks and healthy drinks to the general public.
There will be lots of entertainment for children an there parents.
The kids can do Arts and crafts, attend storytelling, get their faces painted and there will even be a small swimming pool to cool down.
Dexter the clown will also be present with his balloons to entertain the children.
Prizes will be handed out to the winners of the ‘ Healthy Food poster contest that was held among the students of the primary schools.
Children’s book week 2009 was opened on Sunday November 22nd under the theme " Healthy Food’ . The slogan was : Books are Food for the brain
