WILLEMSTAD — A fleet, consisting of a number of training ships from the Dominican Navy, had recently visited Curaçao. The fleet had consisted of the ships Almirante Didiez Burgoz, Tortuguerro, and Orion.

The ships had departed from the capital city Sto. Domingo and were touring the Caribbean region, which included visits to the harbors of Curaçao, Martinique and Puerto Rico. It had been the first time that the training fleet of the Dominican Navy had visited Curaçao.
